Severe Weather Event – Update 13 February 2023

While the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle is still in its early stages, there are a number of factors which are disrupting our carrier networks. Please see the latest information below:

  • Ferry sailings have been cancelled for tonight (Monday, 13th February) and will likely be cancelled tomorrow as well, so no road freight will be able to move between the North and South Islands. Currently, only North Island freight will be collected from our Auckland warehouses and South Island freight collected from our Christchurch warehouses.
  • Post Haste, NZ Post and DHL Express have had their air services to and from Auckland suspended. At this stage, courier consignments will be collected from our warehouses, although these may be earlier at cut-off times than usual and/or limited collections. However, no domestic overnight freight will be moved between the islands tonight. International courier consignments will also be collected, but will not fly out of Auckland or Christchurch tonight.
  • Our carriers have all advised that their Northland and Coromandel depots have closed for the day, meaning there will be no deliveries to these regions today. There will likely be delays to those regions, as well as within Auckland, over the next few days.

NZ Post and Post Haste are providing updates on their websites. Click the links below for the most up-to-date information:

We are making every effort to ensure our Auckland distribution centres are fully staffed. Any disruptions over the next few days will be communicated directly by our site managers to our clients.

Please keep an eye on this site for further updates as they become available.
