Weather-Related Freight Delays – 29 June 2021

Wild weather across many parts of New Zealand has caused a number of road closures and cancelled Cook Strait ferry crossings, resulting in significant freight delays.

There are currently no inter-island road freight movements (transport and courier two day service). However, overnight courier services are currently still available.

Further to this, there are a number of weather-related events and road closures, especially in the South Island, which may lead to delivery delays for intra island freight as well.

Please be aware that even when roads reopen and ferry sailings recommence, there is likely to be a large backlog of freight. Delivery delays are anticipated to continue into next week.

Any further updates will be posted here.
