Freight Update – 1 June 2021
Freight is still unable to move south from Christchurch following the closure of the Ashburton bridge this morning, with no alternative routes currently available. Our carriers have requested that all south-bound consignments be held at our warehouses until the roads are reopened or an alternative route is available.
It is likely that delivery service levels will be impacted this week and next, with increased congestion likely on both courier and transport networks.
